Every Vora Aegis will include a 2-year limited hardware warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, with coverage beginning on the date your unit is delivered. If a covered fault arises, we will, at our option, repair, replace,
or refund your device at no charge, and because your data lives in encrypted backups under keys you hold, a hardware swap never means losing your digital life.
The warranty covers the appliance and its built-in components under normal use; it does not cover accidental damage, unauthorized modification, or normal wear, and the optional add-on drive carries its own separate coverage. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and to units purchased from Vora or an authorized reseller. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory consumer rights. Optional extended coverage will be available for those who want longer protection, beginning after the included 2-year warranty ends. Full warranty terms will be provided with your unit.

Because Aegis runs locally and isn't exposed that way, that whole class of attack is structurally prevented by design, rather than something patched after the fact. Do I need Vora's subscription, or does the device work on its own?
The $1,999 appliance runs the full experience locally, with no subscription required. The optional monthly plans ($19/$99/$199) add encrypted backups, more storage, and cloud credits for heavier research and coding tasks, so you only pay more if you want more.
Is Vora open source, and can I leave whenever I want?
